PROJECT G.I.R.L

Growing & Inspiring Resilient Leaders

In celebration of Women’s Month, the Rotaract Club of Mandaluyong West collaborated with a multi-club coalition led by the Rotaract Club of Marikina East to implement "Project G.I.R.L. (Growing & Inspiring Resilient Leaders)." Held on March 15, 2026, at the Manila Girls Home in Marikina City, the project was a direct result of the bonds formed during the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) 2026. The initiative was designed to empower young women through a holistic approach combining mental, emotional, and physical care.

The program featured empowering keynote lectures centered on the themes of "Knowing Your Worth" and "Building Self-Confidence," encouraging the girls to look beyond their current circumstances and recognize their potential as future leaders. Complementing these talks, the Rotaract Club of Pasig Sunrise facilitated health education sessions, teaching proper toothbrushing and hand hygiene techniques. To provide practical support, "Sisterhood Care Kits" were distributed to each resident. The event concluded with a musical fellowship, featuring performances by both the Rotaractors and the residents, creating a space of mutual respect and joy. This project successfully bridged the gap between leadership theory and community action, proving that the family of Rotary is strongest when united for a common cause.
