Dugong Alay Sagip Buhay
A Blood Donation Project
The Mandaluyong West Rotary Family transformed Robinsons Galleria into a premier hub of humanitarian action for the 9th annual "Dugong Alay, Sagip Buhay" program. This flagship public image initiative successfully integrated the efforts of the Rotary Club of Mandaluyong West, the Rotaract Club of Mandaluyong West, and the Interact Club of Mandaluyong West. Held in partnership with Bombo Radyo Philippines and Star FM, the event served as a high-profile demonstration of unified club branding. The project’s public image was amplified by extensive media coverage. The "Family of Rotary" was represented on-air by GP Angeli Ancheta (Rotary), GP Tara Michelle Ramos (Rotaract), and GP Mariam Kylle Saburit (Interact). A significant highlight was the radio interviews of Past President John Romel Rivera and Past President Joanna Taguiam, who shared their extensive experience in Rotaract service with a national audience. These live sessions with Star FM DJs projected an image of a professional, youth-led organization capable of managing large-scale national crises. The operational results were record-breaking. Locally, 254 bags were collected, contributing to a nationwide total of 4,657 donors and over 2 million cc of blood. This initiative proved that when the three tiers of leadership—Rotary, Rotaract, and Interact—unite under a single cause, they command a national narrative of hope and selfless giving.
